Ang mga Magsasaka ng Lupang Ramos (The Farmers of Lupang Ramos)
Under the shade (lilim) of each farmer’s harvest (ng ani), lies a story and a struggle to tell. Despite agriculture being the backbone of our society: food being the basic need of every living person and raw product as a baseline of any production—our farmers remain poor.
Sa Lilim ng Ani is a multimedia campaign that will bring to light the lived experiences of the farmers and tillers of Lupang Ramos, humanizing their root struggle.

Defending Land and Life in Lupang Ramos
KASAMA-LR: Katipunan ng mga Lehitimong Magsasaka at Mamamayan sa Lupang Ramos
The Katipunan ng mga Lehitimong Magsasaka at Mamamayan sa Lupang Ramos (KASAMA-LR) is a grassroots peasant organization composed of farmers and residents of Lupang Ramos, a 372-hectare agricultural land in Dasmariñas, Cavite. This land has long been the site of land disputes, ownership controversies, and unjust attempts to displace those who have lived and worked there for generations.
ADVOCATE NOW
Now you may be questioning: “What happens after awareness? What can I do with this information?” We are not as helpless as you think. We continue to voice out by spreading awareness, consume directly on our farmers, sign petitions to help them, and volunteer on non-government organizations advocating for agriculture.
Support Locals
Support our local farmers by buying directly from them. This lessens the burden from our farmers to pay extra and additional fees just so their harvest wouldn’t go to waste. In provinces, you can always find them in front of their farm.
Sign Petitions
The Rice Liberalization Law resulted in the monopoly control of large traders, hoarders, importers, cartels, and smugglers on the supply and distribution of rice.
Volunteer
If you wish to directly help the farmers by volunteering, check out our list of non-government organizations you can participate in.
